Happy (Belated) New Year! | Albuquerque Portrait Photographer

I am so excited for 2013! 2012 was a great learning experience for me (haha) and I really appreciate all the amazing people I met and worked with. I literally have thousands of photos to show for it. Every single model I photographed was gorgeous and I am thankful to count so many of you as my friends. My clients from this year have a very special place in my heart, and you mean more to me than I could ever tell you. I am surrounded by the most talented photographers, all of you inspire me everyday. I was featured on TheInsideMag.com, U’Niq Magazine (please please take a look at the “Shoots for a Cure” portion of my site), and had a photo win “Honorable Mention” in the Guerrilla Photo Group “Spirits in the Material World” Art Show.

I really feel the need to thank a few people specifically though, before we get into all the new things for 2013.

Eryn, the Depp to my Burton. Thank you for letting me turn you into an alien and cover you with leaves. This year is going to be amazing for you.

Katayoon, Mia, Erika, and Jess. You are my dearest friends and favorite photographers. I don’t know what I would do without you!

Guerrilla Photo Group; You all get stuck together because I’m trying to keep it short 😉 You are the most incredible group of people, and I can’t wait to see what you come up with for 2013.

Bonnie, thank you for getting me out of my editing seat and back to what I love. I would probably still be sitting in a pile of dirty socks, eating ice cream if it wasn’t for you.

Phil, my editor and best friend who has lived without clean socks since fall portrait season started and everything quickly spiraled into chaos. And Charlie. The reason for everything. I promise you won’t have to play by yourself so much this year…

With the sappiness out of the way, on to 2013!

I am still not shooting this January while I re-haul my business. It is a lot more work then I thought when I started last January, and I am ready to get everything organized. My website is finally back up, and the amazing Katayoon designed my logo. I love the way the site looks, and couldn’t have done it without her help. I really recommend that you send her a message if you are looking at getting a logo or re-branding  She even has marketing sets that are spectacular.

I am really really REALLY excited to be teaming up with Katayoon and Mia for a 12 month project. Our photos will be posted to our blogs the last day of the month and you can join us! Our list is below for you to follow, and just comment on any of our blogs with a link to your picture so we can keep up with all the gorgeous photos.

I already have two new specials up. I’ll be better about updating the site along with my Facebook and blog, so make sure to check out what is running before you schedule. I am already booking weddings for this year, so don’t wait if you are engaged! Next fall is filling up fast!

I have a few huge projects I am working on this year, both personally and professionally. This is changing how I am dealing with models and how many shoots I can take a month. I love my models, but in order to keep shooting I’ve had to make a few changes. If you are a model and interested in shooting, please check out my Model Mayhem page. My first available modelling sessions are already in May, and I won’t be doing any next fall, so bust a move!

Thank you all so much. My wish for this year is that you all continue to do things that inspire you. Put yourself first once in a while. I am really looking forward to all the amazing things you do in 2013.
